This is a blog about my journey through breast cancer treatment while pregnant and the subsequent effects on my life. It has been a journal more than anything: things I'd never say out loud. I try not to get too serious or depressing, but sometimes that is life. Mostly though, I try to show how God can effect positive in the midst of negative. Thank you for visiting!

Rachel update...
We had another ultrasound today. Rachel measured 37 weeks even though I'm actually only 35 wks & 6 days. She's estimated to weigh about 6.67lbs - I think the average for this stage is 6 lbs. She's still a big gal! I'm doing good too. Everything is going well for her to arrive on time. Hopefully she'll pop out just like a well-cooked turkey on Thanksgiving!

My Chemo-Jane hair-style

I just had to have my mom buzz my hair because it was falling out so badly.
Pre-op wearing my hand-crocheted cap with my prayer shawl.

My loving husband is watching me distract myself with a game on his iPhone.
2 days after my BMX w/ 100ccs in the TEs

I even have a fashionable belt to hold up my drains.
3 weeks post-op w/ 400ccs in each TE

The smile is fake because the TEs were irritating!
